Nairobi Office:

Receive our Calvary greetings from Helping Kenya Kids / Special Ministries Kenya team and Hope centers we praise and continue to thank God protection throughout the month. July-august have busy month for the ministry together with our Hope centers communities as we received our guest  it was a month of joy and blessings to us.  We praise and thank God for safe journey mercies for the team led by our Mission Pastor Bob. Together with our Hope Centers communities we had great interaction with the team as we went all around our hope centers witnessing Gods doing. Mission Teams were able to learn together with our communities, children as well as sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community chapels.

During our stay with the team, the team was able to carry out several activities alongside VBS (“PUTTING ON THE ARMOUR OF GOD”) Osegel school soccer game, water kiosk painting, and above playing with children, we had women meeting teaching on how to clean milking guards as well men were taught how to slaughter a goat. This was very exciting as the team learnt a lot on the Kenya culture especially the Maasai culture as  one of the best experience,we thank all our friends of Helping Kenya Kids for coming to fellowship with us in the month of August.

Education and Sponsorship

Our third term in school is going well. We continue to thank all our donors for the sponsorship of our students at Kimelok and Osegel. Bible club Sunday meetings is doing very well in Osegel, this has helped many kids to know Christ through bible club sessions. Pray for us as we continue empowering our students to work hard in school and as well making them know Christ through our Friday pastoral program conducted by our pastor at the Hope Center schools. Grade 6 and Grade 8 students at Osegel are preparing for their national examination in November. Prayers appreciated for our High school sponsored student Elizabeth Akinyi and Valentine Achieng who are also preparing to sit for their final national examination test in November.

The clinic now is fully operational with staff that are fully available to treat any illness within the community.  Our pharmacy is fully equipped with all drugs as we have started receiving patients from neighboring communities and referrals coming to seek medical attention at our clinic. We once again thank our donors and supporters for the great milestone. Medical clinic opening in IL kerin has really brought a lot of peace, unity and healing among the Il kerin community members, we give praise and honor to God.

It’s a Was a Big Day in July in Narok County at Il-lkerin Hope center since ,it was our official grand opening and ribbon cutting of our  Special Ministries Ilkerin medical Clinic. The ceremony was graced by our Mission team led by Mission Pastor Bob Wielenga, Helping Kenya Kids /Special Ministries National Director Mr. Samson Nangole, Member of Parliament for Narok Hon Ken Aramat, The Chief Executive Officer of Health Narok county government among many other national and county government officials.

Pastors Reports

Our pastors are doing a commendable job to ensure that they continue to preach and share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in our hope centers and the neighboring villages through weekly outreaches, in the month of August and September seven souls were saved and brought to Christ, we keep on praying for God guidance towards their work and God to give them strength and wisdom to serve and bring more people to Christ.

Drought situation update in our Hope Centers

Drought is slowly biting across the hope centers and across the country. We continue to pray for rain. We have not still received any rain in the month of August and animals are still struggling to get good grass and water. The cost of living is sky-rocking now in Kenya, Fuel prices are up, food prices too are high many families who depend on animals can’t afford food for their families.. Many families across our hope centers cannot afford food due to the loss of casual jobs of which many depend on to feed their families.

Prayer request:
  • Continue praying for Kenya Struggling Economy.

Ruai Project

We started land preparation for Ruai farm for beans project. Planting will start by the end of September. Beans project will come in to cut down the cost of beans purchase for hope centers. The beans will take three month as we are looking forward for the best harvest in the month of January for supply to our hope centers. Lets continue praying for rain.

I wish you All God’s blessings as we serve God together for his Glory.
