As we step into 2025, we continue to lean on the Holy Spirit to guide every step of our mission. We’ve hit the ground running this New Year, sending a dedicated team to Kenya to bring hope, transformation, and the love of Christ to those we serve.
THE HOPE OF JESUS: Mission Trip Update!
On January 26, a small but mighty team from Michigan traveled to Kenya for a nine day mission trip adventure. The team visited the Ruai Farm Cabbage Project, where fresh cabbage is being grown to help feed children across three Hope Center schools. This initiative not only nourishes young school children but also supports local economy.
The following day, the team tackled a monumental project—emptying and reorganizing a 20-foot shipping container filled with supplies, some dating back to 1968! After hours of sorting, donating, and building shelves, the container was transformed into a functional, organized storage space that will better serve the mission.
Later in the week, the team hit the road, heading west from Nairobi to visit Cheppema, a Hope Center that has been closed for 10 years after a flood washed away the access bridge. But God’s plans never fail! The vision is to rebuild this site into a hospital and church, providing critical care and spiritual guidance to the surrounding community. From organizing essential resources to envisioning a brighter future for Cheppema, the team poured their hearts into the people and community while they were on-site. Their days were full and their efforts made a significant impact.
